Since 1983, Winchester Industries has been a highly respected member of the replacement window and door industry. A privately-owned business, Winchester has two production lines that produce Bristol and Oxford windows and doors. Winchester maintains an exclusive dealer network of specialty window and door companies. This network covers states within the USA that are represented by exclusive territories. Sales representatives are knowledgeable, and installers are carefully trained to measure each home and precisely install these units. All products are custom-made for every opening, which ensures a perfect fit.

The foundation of Winchester was built when owners Robert Weis and George Yuhasz combined over thirty years of industry knowledge to debut the first triple-glass Bristol replacement double-hung window. Making triple-pane windows over three and one-half decades ago set the stage for Winchester to be a leader in window innovation. The need for more energy efficient windows was apparent then and remains steadfast today as energy costs continue to escalate.
The revolution of Winchester’s top-of-the-line windows has evolved from clear triple glass to triple glass with multiple energy efficient features and patented technologies. These features include our own proprietary gas mixture, specialized spacer system, and superior reflective coating materials in true triple-pane insulating glass units. A superior insight into rising energy costs is still the reason Winchester only manufactures a state-of-the-art high technology product.
Multiple unique and patented features, including our own extrusions coupled with our superior glazing features, clearly differentiates our windows and doors from most of the other replacement windows on the market. Our Q-IV Locking System was pioneered to surpass security features already on the market. Four hardened steel locking points create not only a visual difference but adds a built-in security feature that allows Winchester to provide a guaranty against home break-ins.
Weis and Yuhasz continue to monitor aspects of the business with President Michael Sugrue running the day-to-day operations. The majority of Winchester’s staff have 30+ years with the company. Because of this ownership and employee dedication, Winchester enjoys a financial stability seldom seen in corporate America. Our mission to be different and special has been the steering force since day one.
The window industry is attempting to catch up to what Winchester started 35+ years ago. When the world was exposed to Energy Star qualifications and the 30/30 ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) qualifications to be eligible for tax credits, Winchester products met and excelled in every criteria. With the introduction of R5 and even better windows in the very near future, our products remain forerunners in the qualifying chapter that government regulations continue to write.
